The Public Works Department is the department that keeps the City running. When a tree comes down in the wind the men of the Public Works Department come out rain or shine, day or night and clear the road.
No job is to big for the crew of the Soddy-Daisy Public Works Department.
The Public Works Department maintains the streets. You will find the Workers Ahead sign out on any of the City streets any day of the week.
The Public Works Department takes care of the City buildings inside and out. The groomed lawns and flower beds and the well maintained buildings are a result of the dedicated men of the Department.
Work on Depot Road on August 24th 2004
The City Public Works Department worked on the construction of the new pavilion at the Scramble Alley Park. They not only do great work but save the taxpayers on contractors cost.
The Public Works Department repairs and rebuilds the city streets. This is a project on West parkway.
Osage Drive was closed at the 570 block for the Public Works Department to replace a drainage tile that has failed. The road was closed for a short time and now the work has been completed and the road paved.
