On October 2, 2004 the Soddy-Daisy Fire Department responded to a residential fire on Ward Road. The house was found fully involved with fire or smoke. The Soddy-Daisy Fire Department quickly extinguished the fire. It is believed the fire may have been started by children playing with matches.
