Soddy-Daisy Police does its part for Homeland Security

On Saturday, November 8, 2003 at about 6:30 in the evening Soddy-Daisy Police received a BOLO (Be On the Look Out) from the Chattanooga Police Department for a Red Chevy Pickup carrying Military Bombs. It was reported last seen on Hwy. 27 North bound at Morrison Springs.

Soddy-Daisy Police located the vehicle at the Hwy. 111 split. The truck was stopped and it was quickly determined the Military Bombs were surplus Aircraft Fuel Cells that were on the way to a small town near Nashville to be used in a sign for a parts store.
Soddy-Daisy Police receives security notices and bolos from state and federal agencies and reports from the public regarding Homeland Security. Every notice is taken very serious and every lead is followed to assure the safety of the citizens of Soddy-Daisy. We thank the people that report anything that looks suspicious.

Homeland Security is everyone's responsibility.
