Once again the Soddy-Daisy Fire Cadets made the difference. The first in engine arrived at the fire at Durham and depot with one person onboard. He began to set up the engine and the first 3 Firefighters were Cadets. With the help of the first in Police Officer the fire was knocked down enough to give the arriving Firefighters to arrive and get ready for an interior attack. The house was saved and has since been rebuilt.
