The Soddy-Daisy Board of Commissioners consists of five members. The Mayor, Vice Mayor and three commissioners.
The board of commissioners holds regular meetings at 7:00 P.M. on the first and third Thursdays of each month in the municipal building located at 9835 Dayton Pike.
 
Advising the Commissioners is the Soddy-Daisy City Attorney, Sam Elliott.
 
The Soddy-Daisy City Recorder, Sara Burris keeps the minutes of the city commission meetings.

The City Planning Commission meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 12:00 Noon  and the Zoning Board of Appeals meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 9:00 AM. (as bussiness necessitates)

On November 16, 2006 the Newly Elected Commissioners were sworn in during the regular Soddy-Daisy Commission meeting.
Following the meeting was a reception to meet the new commissioners.

Judge Clarence Shattuck officiated
in the swearing in of
Commissioner Bob Privett 
who was re-elected
and Commissioner David Skiles
who won election over
incumbent Less Jewell.
 
The commission then elected
Commissioner Bob Privett
as Soddy-Daisy Mayor.
