On a Monday, April 2, 2007 the Soddy-Daisy Fire Department and Police Department responded to a crash with entrapment on Card Road under Hwy. 27. The driver of a Ford truck had lost control while west bound and went off the road to the north then traveled across Card Road and went off on the South side striking the bridge column. The truck came to rest on the drivers side with the passenger door jammed. Firefighters were required to take out the windshield then remove the top to extricate the driver. He was transported to the hospital by Hamilton County EMS with what appeared to be minor injuries.
